Product Specs & Core Functions
What certifications do your products have?
A: All LookRoad products hold authoritative international certifications and fully comply with both US and EU regulatory standards. Certifications include:
- UL Certification
- Full CE Certification (including EN 15194 for vehicle safety, EMC for electromagnetic compatibility, and LVD for electrical safety)
- RoHS Environmental Certification
Can I ride it like a regular bike when the electric assist is off?
A: Yes, you can. This e-bike is equipped with three riding modes to suit different needs:
- Manual Mode – No electric assist, pedal just like a traditional bike
- PAS Mode – Pedal gently for smooth power assistance
- Pure Electric Mode – No pedaling needed; just twist the throttle to go
When the electric assist is off, it rides smoothly and naturally like a standard bicycle.
Can the battery be removed for charging? How long does it take to fully charge?
A: Battery specifications vary by product – please check the detailed product parameters for your specific model. If the battery supports quick release, it can be removed and charged separately. Under normal conditions, a full charge takes around 6–8 hours.
Is it safe to charge the battery overnight? Is there any risk of overcharging?
A: The battery is equipped with built-in overcharge, over-temperature and short-circuit protection, and will automatically cut off power once fully charged – allowing for safe overnight charging. We still recommend avoiding prolonged excessive charging to extend battery service life.
Does low temperature affect battery range?
A: Yes. Cold winter temperatures reduce battery activity, resulting in a slight drop in range. Warming the battery to room temperature before riding can help alleviate this range reduction.
Can I use a non-original charger to charge the battery?
A: Using third-party chargers with mismatched specifications is strictly prohibited, as it may damage the battery or create serious safety hazards.
How do I switch between pedal assist levels and pure electric mode while riding?
A: Use the buttons on the handlebar display to switch between 1–5 pedal assist levels. Some models come with a right-hand throttle for pure electric riding.
Is the display waterproof?
A: The display can withstand daily rain and splashing. Prolonged submersion, high-pressure water washing and wading through deep water are strictly prohibited.
To further protect the display and cables from water damage during rainy rides, we suggest preparing a waterproof cover for them.
Assembly & Operation
Is the e-bike fully assembled upon delivery?
A: The e-bike is delivered 85% pre-assembled, with a total setup time of under 20 minutes (assembly takes only 10–15 minutes). Simple assembly steps:
- Unfold the bike and adjust the handlebars
- Lock all folding parts
All necessary assembly instructions and tools are included in the package.

What should I do after receiving my e-bike?
A: Immediately record your bike’s serial number (usually located on the head tube). This serial number is required for:
- Applying for warranty service
- Filing a theft report
Maintenance & Battery Care
How often should I service my e-bike?
A: We recommend maintaining your LookRoad e-bike at least once a year or every 1000 miles (1600 km), whichever comes first. Regular basic maintenance includes:
- Lubricating the chain
- Cleaning the bike frame and components
- Checking and adjusting tire pressure
- Tightening loose bolts and fasteners
How can I maximize battery life?
A: Follow these tips to extend your e-bike’s battery service life:
- Charge the battery regularly, even when the bike is not in use
- Avoid exposing the battery to extreme high or low temperatures
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use
- Maintain steady riding habits and a consistent pedaling rhythm
- Avoid excessive and frequent use of the throttle
What should I pay attention to if the bike is not ridden for a long time?
A: For long-term storage, follow these guidelines to protect the bike and battery:
- Keep the battery charged to 50%–60% of its capacity
- Store the entire bike in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures
- Recharge the battery to 50%–60% once a month to avoid damage caused by over-discharging
